張永鴻自六歲習琴，師隨北京中央音樂學院劉育熙教授，前廣州交響樂團首席鄭愛華女士。張氏演奏遍布世界各地，曾與世界知名音樂家合作演出，包括譚盾(指揮)、張莎拉(小提琴)、秦立巍(大提琴)、彼得尼(鋼琴)、劉韻傑(中提琴)、格爾傑耶夫(指揮)、李雲迪(鋼琴)等。張氏代表香港參加第十四屆大阪國際音樂大賽決賽，並成為小提琴組特別獎得主。

張氏畢業於香港演藝學院，師隨已故黃衞明先生主修小提琴及中提琴演奏，考獲音樂文學士和演藝(音樂)專業文憑。張氏也以特別生身分到維也納國立音樂大學及新加坡國立大學楊秀桃音樂學院進修，師隨小提琴家Albena Danailova及左軍深造，並擁有英國劍橋聖三一音樂學院執業文憑。在學期間，張氏曾接受多位著名音樂家和室樂組合指導，如LawrenceDutton (Emerson Quartet)、Susie Mészáros (Chilingirian String

Quartet)、張立國(芝加哥交响樂團中提琴首席)、長城四重奏等。

張氏十四歲獲前香港中樂團音樂總監石信之邀請，出任其創立的香港新愛樂青年樂團的樂團首席，並在其指揮下，以獨奏家身分演出莫札特的D大調小提琴協奏曲和貝多芬的F大調浪漫曲，為香港大會堂最年輕獨奏小提琴家之一。二零一二年張氏獲前俄羅斯國家管弦樂團音樂總監麥家樂邀請，出任寰宇交響樂圑(Global Symphony Orchestra) 首席第二小提琴和首席中提琴，並以首席樂手身分，獲邀到維也納Graz音樂節演出和接受Graz市長頒授獎項。二零一五年獲溫州城市交响樂團邀請，出任客席首席中提琴家。張氏二零一五年獲邀為囊謙巴色寺孤兒院籌募重建經費作演出，該晚會為中央電視台全國直播。二零一六年澳門永利皇宮賭場開幕，張氏獲邀請參與開幕演出，和意大利國寳男高音Andrea

Bocelli及歌手李玟合作演。

在剛過去的二零一九年，張氏參與CCTV中央電視台新年音樂會演出及錄影，該音樂會在二零廿零年一月一日全國播放。

除了古典音樂外, 張氏也經常為著名流行歌手作演唱會現場演奏，如五月天、張學友、李克勤。張氏也獲著名音樂製作人鮑比達(新不了情作曲人)邀請，參演其作品音樂會。

Cheung started studying the violin since the age of six with Professor Liu Yuxi from the Central Conservatory of Music and former GuangzhouPhilharmonic Orchestra Principal Cheng Oi Wa. Cheung graduated fromthe Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and the Hong Kong BaptistUniversity. He studied the violin and the viola with Mr. Wong WaiMing. Cheung represented Hong Kong in the 14th Osaka InternationalMusic competition and win the special prize.

At the young age of 14, Cheung was invited join the Hong Kong Youth Philharmonic Orchestra as Concert Master, under the baton of Mr HenryShek. Cheung performed Mozart’s Violin Concerto in D and Beethoven’sRomance in F with the orchestra as soloist at Hong Kong City Hall. In2012, Maestro Mak Ka Lok invited Cheung to join the Global SymphonyOrchestra as Principal Second Violin and Principal Viola. Cheung travelled to Vienna with the orchestra to perform at the Graz MusicFestival. Cheung has also performed with various renowned artists suchas Tan Dun (composer and conductor), Li Yundi (pianist), AndreaBocelli (tenor), Mayday (pop music group) and Jacky Cheung (pop music artist).

Cheung was invited to perform at the opening at Wynn Palace Macao, and shared the stage with Andre Bocelli. Cheung also performed at the CCTV New Year concert in 2019.
